Ingredients
Chicken and Sauce
- 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 (12 oz) jar Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic wing sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz cream cheese, cubed
- 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
Pasta
- 1 (16 oz) box penne pasta
Instructions
- Prepare the Crockpot: Spray the bottom of the crockpot with non-stick spray or use a crockpot liner to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Add Chicken and Sauce: Place the three boneless skinless chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot. Pour the Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic wing sauce and heavy cream evenly over the chicken breasts.
- Add Cream Cheese and Parmesan: Distribute the cubed cream cheese and shredded parmesan cheese over the sauce and chicken to create a rich and creamy base.
- Cook the Chicken: Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 8 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender enough to shred.
- Shred the Chicken: Remove the cooked chicken breasts from the crockpot and shred them using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the sauce in the crockpot and stir to combine.
- Cook the Pasta: While the chicken finishes cooking, prepare the penne pasta according to the package directions. Cook until al dente to avoid mushiness when mixed.
- Combine Pasta and Chicken: Add the drained pasta to the shredded chicken and sauce mixture in the crockpot and stir well to combine everything thoroughly.
- Serve: Serve the creamy garlic parmesan chicken pasta hot, accompanied by garlic bread for a perfect meal.
Notes
- Kick Up The Spice: Add a dash of red pepper flakes or a pinch or two of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
- Room Temperature Cream Cheese: Use cream cheese at room temperature to prevent curdling in the crockpot.
- Substitute for BWW Sauce: Mix Alfredo sauce with roasted garlic salad dressing as an alternative if you can’t find Buffalo Wild Wings sauce. Garlic parmesan sauce also works well.
- Don’t Overcook Pasta: Cook the pasta just to al dente or slightly under to prevent it from becoming mushy after mixing with the chicken mixture.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Reheating: Reheat leftovers in a microwave-safe bowl for 1-2 minutes or until warmed through.
