Description

Savor the rich and irresistible flavors of The Best Garlic Butter Steak Bites—a quick and easy recipe featuring tender sirloin or ribeye steak cubes sautéed in a luscious garlic butter sauce, perfectly seasoned with smoked paprika, herbs, and a hint of heat. Ready in just 15 minutes, this dish is an excellent choice for a flavorful weeknight dinner or a shareable appetizer.

Ingredients

Steak

  • 1 lb Sirloin or Ribeye Steaks, trimmed and cubed into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Garlic Butter Sauce and Seasonings

  • 4 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Tbsp Garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Dried Parsley
  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional)

To Garnish

  • Fresh Parsley, for sprinkling over plated dish
  • Lemon wedges, to squeeze over finished dish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the skillet: Heat a 12-inch cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Allow the butter to melt and coat the pan fully.
  2. Season and cook the steak bites: Season the cubed steak generously with salt and pepper. Add the steak pieces to the preheated skillet in a single layer without overcrowding, ensuring they brown properly. Cook for 2-3 minutes until a golden crust forms, then remove the steak bites from the pan and set them aside.
  3. Create the garlic butter sauce: Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet and melt over medium heat. Stir in minced garlic, smoked paprika, dried parsley, dried thyme, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook the spice mixture for about 1 minute to bloom the flavors and blend well.
  4. Combine steak with sauce: Return the cooked steak bites to the skillet, tossing them gently to coat evenly in the garlic butter sauce. Remove the skillet from heat once the steak is fully coated and heated through.
  5. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the steak bites and squeeze fresh lemon wedges on top for a bright finish. Serve immediately to enjoy the dish at its flavorful best.

Notes

  • Use a cast iron skillet or heavy-bottomed pan to get the best sear on the steak bites.
  • Do not overcrowd the skillet to avoid steaming the meat; cook in batches if necessary.
  • Adjust the red pepper flakes according to your preferred spice level, or omit if you prefer no heat.
  • Letting the steak come to room temperature before cooking helps achieve a better crust and even cooking.
  • Serve with crusty bread or over rice for a complete meal.
