Combining fully cooked meatballs with a luscious sauce made from sweet red chili sauce, grape jelly, and pineapple tidbits, this recipe delivers a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and mildly spicy flavors. Simply toss all ingredients into a crockpot and slow cook for tender, tasty meatballs that are sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 48-ounce bag of fully cooked frozen Homestyle Meatballs

Sauce

  • 12 ounces Sweet red chili sauce (Thai Kitchen recommended)
  • 20 ounces Grape jelly
  • 20-ounce can of Pineapple tidbits, drained

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meatballs and Sauce: Place the frozen meatballs into your crockpot. Pour in the sweet red chili sauce.
  2. Add Grape Jelly and Pineapple: Add the grape jelly and drained pineapple tidbits to the crockpot.
  3. Mix Ingredients: Stir all components thoroughly to ensure the meatballs are evenly coated with the sauce mixture.
  4. Cook: Cover the crockpot and cook on high heat for 1-2 hours or on low heat for 3-4 hours. This slow cooking will allow the flavors to meld and the meatballs to heat through.
  5. Final Stir and Serve: Uncover the crockpot, stir the meatballs again so they are well coated, and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can use any brand of sweet red chili sauce, but Thai Kitchen provides an authentic flavor.
  • For a thicker sauce, remove the lid during the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow some liquid to evaporate.
  • These meatballs can also be made in advance and reheated in the crockpot on low before serving.
  • Serve with toothpicks as an appetizer or over rice for a full meal.
