Description

This refreshing and creamy Strawberry Milkshake combines fresh strawberries, strawberry jam, milk, cream, and strawberry ice cream blended to perfection. It’s a quick and delicious treat that can be served immediately as a classic milkshake or frozen into strawberry ice pops for a fun twist.

Ingredients

Milkshake Ingredients

  • 1 lb. strawberries, chilled and stems trimmed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 3 Tbsp strawberry jam (preferably freezer jam)
  • 10 oz. (3 cups) strawberry ice cream or vanilla ice cream (such as Tillamook)
  • Sweetened whipped cream, for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the chilled strawberries, milk, heavy cream, strawberry jam, and ice cream to a high speed blender. Secure the lid firmly to prevent spills.
  2. Blend Smooth: Start blending on low speed to combine the ingredients gently, then gradually increase to high speed. Continue blending until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, ensuring there are no strawberry chunks left.
  3. Serve or Freeze: Pour the milkshake into three glasses and serve immediately, optionally topping with sweetened whipped cream for extra indulgence. Alternatively, pour the mixture into popsicle molds, insert wooden sticks, and freeze for 6 hours to create delicious strawberry ice pops.

Notes

  • You can substitute vanilla ice cream if strawberry ice cream is unavailable.
  • For a thicker milkshake, use less milk or add more ice cream.
  • Freezer jam enhances the strawberry flavor but any strawberry jam works.
  • Ensure strawberries are well chilled for the best cold and fresh taste.
  • The popsicles make a great alternative treat for hot days or kids’ snacks.
