Description

This creamy and flavorful Spinach Artichoke Dip is the perfect appetizer for any gathering. Combining tender artichoke hearts, nutritious spinach, and a blend of cheeses with garlic and creamy bases, it bakes into a warm, melty dip that pairs wonderfully with chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices. Ready in just 30 minutes, it’s an easy crowd-pleaser that feels indulgent yet comforting.

Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, well softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 garlic clove, minced (about 1 tsp)
  • 2/3 cup (76g) finely shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup (56g) finely shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 (14 oz) can quartered artichoke hearts, drained, excess liquid squeezed, chopped
  • 6 oz. frozen spinach, thawed and excess liquid squeezed

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray a small 1-quart baking dish with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking during baking.
  2. Mix Creamy Base: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, shredded parmesan, shredded mozzarella, and freshly ground pepper. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  3. Add Vegetables: Gently fold the chopped artichoke hearts and drained spinach into the creamy cheese mixture, ensuring even distribution of ingredients without overmixing.
  4. Bake the Dip: Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the dip is thoroughly heated and nice and melty.
  5. Serve Warm: Remove from oven and serve immediately while warm. Pair with tortilla chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices for dipping.

Notes

  • Make sure to squeeze out as much liquid as possible from both the spinach and artichokes to prevent the dip from being watery.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or chopped fresh herbs such as parsley or basil.
  • Use freshly grated cheeses for the best melting texture.
  • Can be prepared a day ahead and baked just before serving.
  • Leftovers store well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and can be reheated in the oven.
