Description
Deliciously caramelized roasted Brussels sprouts tossed with a tangy balsamic vinegar and sweet honey glaze. This easy 30-minute recipe yields tender, golden-brown veggies that make a perfect side dish for any meal.
Ingredients
Brussels Sprouts
- 1½ pounds Brussels sprouts, halved, stems and ragged outer leaves removed
Seasonings and Dressing
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon honey
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F and position the oven rack in the middle. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with heavy-duty aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Toss Brussels Sprouts: Place the halved Brussels sprouts directly on the lined baking sheet. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, and season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Toss to evenly coat the sprouts.
- Roast the Brussels Sprouts: Roast in the preheated oven, stirring once halfway through to ensure even cooking. Continue roasting until the sprouts are tender and golden brown, approximately 20 minutes.
- Add Balsamic and Honey Glaze: After roasting, drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and honey over the Brussels sprouts. Toss thoroughly to coat all pieces evenly with the glaze. Taste and adjust seasoning if desired.
- Serve: Serve the glazed Brussels sprouts warm as a flavorful and healthy side dish.
Notes
- For larger Brussels sprouts, cut them into quarters to ensure uniform cooking.
- Use heavy-duty aluminum foil to prevent sticking and simplify cleanup.
