Description

Deliciously caramelized roasted Brussels sprouts tossed with a tangy balsamic vinegar and sweet honey glaze. This easy 30-minute recipe yields tender, golden-brown veggies that make a perfect side dish for any meal.

Ingredients

Brussels Sprouts

  • pounds Brussels sprouts, halved, stems and ragged outer leaves removed

Seasonings and Dressing

  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F and position the oven rack in the middle. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with heavy-duty aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Toss Brussels Sprouts: Place the halved Brussels sprouts directly on the lined baking sheet. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, and season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Toss to evenly coat the sprouts.
  3. Roast the Brussels Sprouts: Roast in the preheated oven, stirring once halfway through to ensure even cooking. Continue roasting until the sprouts are tender and golden brown, approximately 20 minutes.
  4. Add Balsamic and Honey Glaze: After roasting, drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and honey over the Brussels sprouts. Toss thoroughly to coat all pieces evenly with the glaze. Taste and adjust seasoning if desired.
  5. Serve: Serve the glazed Brussels sprouts warm as a flavorful and healthy side dish.

Notes

  • For larger Brussels sprouts, cut them into quarters to ensure uniform cooking.
  • Use heavy-duty aluminum foil to prevent sticking and simplify cleanup.
  • Stir halfway through roasting to promote even browning.
  • This recipe pairs well with roasted meats and hearty grain dishes.
