Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Red Velvet Brownie Cups featuring a moist, rich texture with a perfect balance of chocolate and tangy flavors. These bite-sized treats are ideal for parties or a sweet snack, baked to perfection in muffin tins and easily customized with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

Red Velvet Brownie Cups

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix (dry)
  • 1 stick butter (melted)
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), or 325°F (163°C) if you are using a dark non-stick muffin pan. Prepare the muffin tins either by thoroughly spraying with a baking spray containing flour or by lining with paper liners to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the dry red velvet cake mix, melted butter, beaten egg, water, and sour cream. Stir the mixture until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the batter is smooth.
  3. Fill Muffin Tins and Bake: Pour the batter evenly into the prepared muffin pan. Bake for 14 to 18 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted into the center of a brownie comes out with a few moist crumbs. Avoid overbaking to keep the brownies moist.
  4. Create Cups: Once baked, remove the pan from the oven. While the brownies are still warm, use the back of a measuring spoon to gently press into the center of each brownie, forming a cup shape.
  5. Cool and Remove: Allow the brownies to cool completely. If you did not use paper liners, run a knife around the edges of each brownie to loosen them from the pan so they are easy to remove without breaking.
  6. Add Toppings and Serve: Fill the brownie cups with your favorite toppings such as frosting, whipped cream, or fruit, and enjoy these delightful treats.

Notes

  • Use a baking spray with flour or paper liners to prevent sticking.
  • Adjust baking time according to your oven and pan type to avoid dryness.
  • Let brownies cool before removing to maintain shape.
  • Customize toppings based on your preference for added flavor and presentation.
  • Press gently when creating the cup shape to avoid breaking the brownies.
