Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 2 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 tbsp pizza sauce
- 6 slices of pepperoni
- 1 tbsp sliced black olives (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the pan: Heat a large pan over medium heat to prepare for cooking the pizzadillas.
- Assemble the base: Place one flour tortilla in the heated pan and evenly sprinkle 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the tortilla surface.
- Add the top layer: Place the second tortilla on top of the cheese-covered one and cook until the bottom tortilla is golden brown and the cheese has started melting, approximately 2-4 minutes per side. Flip carefully to cook both sides evenly.
- Add toppings: Remove from pan and spread pizza sauce evenly over the top tortilla. Then add the remaining mozzarella cheese, followed by pepperoni slices and optional black olives.
- Bake the pizzadilla: Transfer the assembled pizzadilla to a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) and bake for 5-10 minutes until the cheese melts thoroughly.
- Serve: Slice the pizzadilla into portions and serve hot for a delicious meal or snack.
Notes
- For a spicier flavor, sprinkle some red pepper flakes before baking.
- Additional toppings like mushrooms, bell peppers, or onions can be added to customize your pizzadilla.
