Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Pepperoni Cheese Pizza Bombs featuring gooey mozzarella cheese, spicy pepperoni, and zesty pasta sauce wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or party treat, these bite-sized pizza bombs are baked to golden perfection and sprinkled with Italian herbs for an extra burst of flavor.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 tube Crescent Roll Dough

Filling

  • 2 sticks White String Cheese, each cut into 4 even pieces
  • 32 slices pepperoni
  • 1 jar (about 1 cup) Pasta Sauce

Toppings

  • Italian Herbs, for sprinkling

Other

  • Non-stick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) to ensure it’s at the perfect temperature for baking the pizza bombs.
  2. Prepare muffin tin: Lightly spray a muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray to prevent the dough from sticking during baking.
  3. Arrange dough: Open the crescent roll dough and carefully lay each triangle over the open muffin tin spaces, one triangle per muffin cup.
  4. Add sauce: Spoon about one teaspoon of pasta sauce onto the center of each dough triangle.
  5. Add pepperoni and cheese: Place two slices of pepperoni on top of the sauce, then add one piece of string cheese followed by two more slices of pepperoni to fully cover the cheese.
  6. Wrap dough: Fold the dough triangles over the filling and carefully pinch the edges together to form a sealed ball around the filling.
  7. Sprinkle herbs: Lightly sprinkle Italian herbs on top of each dough ball to add fragrance and flavor.
  8. Bake: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the dough turns a golden brown color.
  9. Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm with extra warm pasta sauce on the side for dipping.
  10. Enjoy: Eat the pizza bombs while they are still warm and gooey for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Ensure the edges of the dough are well sealed to prevent filling leakage during baking.
  • You can use your favorite pasta sauce or marinara for the filling and dipping.
  • For a spicier version, add crushed red pepper flakes inside before wrapping.
  • These pizza bombs can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the oven to maintain crispiness.
