Description

This Peanut Butter Lasagna is a delicious no-bake dessert featuring a crunchy Nutter Butter cookie crust, a creamy peanut butter and cream cheese layer, rich chocolate pudding, and topped with fluffy whipped topping. Perfect for parties or a sweet treat any time.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 (16 oz) package Nutter Butter sandwich cookies
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Peanut Butter Layer

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp milk

Pudding Layer

  • 2 (3.9 oz) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk

Toppings

  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: Place the Nutter Butter cookies in a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs. Transfer the crumbs to a mixing bowl and pour in the melted butter. Stir well until the cookie crumbs are evenly coated with butter.
  2. Form the Crust Layer: Pour the cookie and butter mixture into a 9×13-inch pan. Press the crumbs firmly and evenly across the bottom to form a solid crust layer. Set aside.
  3. Make the Peanut Butter Layer: In a large bowl, beat together the room temperature cream cheese, creamy peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla extract and milk, then mix until fully combined.
  4. Spread the Peanut Butter Layer: Carefully spoon the peanut butter mixture over the cookie crust. Spread it evenly, taking care not to disturb or pull up the crust crumbs.
  5. Prepare the Pudding Layer: In a separate bowl, pour the 3 cups of milk and sprinkle the instant chocolate pudding mixes on top. Whisk together until completely combined.
  6. Set the Pudding: Let the pudding sit for 5 minutes to thicken properly. Then gently spoon the thickened pudding over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly.
  7. Refrigerate: Place the assembled lasagna in the refrigerator to chill and set for at least a couple of hours, or until ready to serve.
  8. Add the Whipped Topping: Just before serving, spread the whipped topping evenly over the pudding layer to complete the dessert.

Notes

  • For best results, use room temperature cream cheese to ensure a smooth peanut butter layer.
  • Press the cookie crust firmly to prevent it from crumbling when layering.
  • Allow the pudding to fully thicken before adding it to the layers to avoid runniness.
  • This dessert can be prepared a day in advance and refrigerated to enhance flavors.
  • Serve chilled for a refreshing and creamy treat.
