Description
This Peanut Butter Lasagna is a delicious no-bake dessert featuring a crunchy Nutter Butter cookie crust, a creamy peanut butter and cream cheese layer, rich chocolate pudding, and topped with fluffy whipped topping. Perfect for parties or a sweet treat any time.
Ingredients
Crust
- 1 (16 oz) package Nutter Butter sandwich cookies
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
Peanut Butter Layer
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Tbsp milk
Pudding Layer
- 2 (3.9 oz) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 cups milk
Toppings
- 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: Place the Nutter Butter cookies in a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs. Transfer the crumbs to a mixing bowl and pour in the melted butter. Stir well until the cookie crumbs are evenly coated with butter.
- Form the Crust Layer: Pour the cookie and butter mixture into a 9×13-inch pan. Press the crumbs firmly and evenly across the bottom to form a solid crust layer. Set aside.
- Make the Peanut Butter Layer: In a large bowl, beat together the room temperature cream cheese, creamy peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla extract and milk, then mix until fully combined.
- Spread the Peanut Butter Layer: Carefully spoon the peanut butter mixture over the cookie crust. Spread it evenly, taking care not to disturb or pull up the crust crumbs.
- Prepare the Pudding Layer: In a separate bowl, pour the 3 cups of milk and sprinkle the instant chocolate pudding mixes on top. Whisk together until completely combined.
- Set the Pudding: Let the pudding sit for 5 minutes to thicken properly. Then gently spoon the thickened pudding over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate: Place the assembled lasagna in the refrigerator to chill and set for at least a couple of hours, or until ready to serve.
- Add the Whipped Topping: Just before serving, spread the whipped topping evenly over the pudding layer to complete the dessert.
Notes
- For best results, use room temperature cream cheese to ensure a smooth peanut butter layer.
- Press the cookie crust firmly to prevent it from crumbling when layering.
- Allow the pudding to fully thicken before adding it to the layers to avoid runniness.
- This dessert can be prepared a day in advance and refrigerated to enhance flavors.
