Description
Lavender Milk Tea is a soothing and aromatic beverage combining the floral notes of dried culinary lavender with creamy steamed milk. Sweetened with honey or sugar and optionally enhanced with vanilla extract, this delicate tea can be enjoyed hot or cold, making it a perfect relaxing treat any time of day.
Ingredients
Tea Base
- 2 tbsp Dried culinary lavender
- 2 cups Water
Milk Mixture
- 2 cups Milk (any kind you prefer)
- Honey or sugar (optional, adjust according to taste)
- Vanilla extract (optional, to enhance flavor)
Instructions
- Steep Lavender: Boil 2 cups of water in a small pot or kettle. Once boiling, add 2 tablespoons of dried culinary lavender. Remove the pot from heat, cover it, and let the lavender steep for about 5 minutes to infuse the water with its floral aroma.
- Strain and Heat Milk: Strain the lavender infusion into a pitcher to remove the lavender flowers. Meanwhile, heat 2 cups of milk on the stove just until it begins to steam, making sure not to boil it to preserve a smooth texture.
- Combine and Sweeten: Add the warm steamed milk to the lavender tea in the pitcher. Stir in honey or sugar according to your preferred level of sweetness. If desired, add a few drops of vanilla extract to deepen the flavor profile.
- Serve: Pour the lavender milk tea into cups and enjoy it hot for a comforting drink, or allow it to cool and then serve over ice in glasses for a refreshing cold beverage.
