Ingredients
Meats
- 12 pieces thin sliced pepperoni or salami
Cheese
- About 2/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the crisps.
- Prepare Pepperoni: Cut the pepperoni slices in half and place them on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave for about 30 seconds to release excess grease, then blot with paper towels to remove the grease.
- Arrange Parmesan: Cover a large cookie sheet with parchment paper. Lay down small piles of shredded parmesan cheese and flatten each pile evenly. You can make around 20 piles, or up to 24 if spaced tightly, as the cheese won’t spread while baking.
- Add Pepperoni Topping: Place one pepperoni half on top of each flattened parmesan cheese pile to create your pizza crisps.
- Bake: Place the cookie sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 4 to 7 minutes. Start watching around the 3-minute mark to prevent burning and pull them out when the crisps become perfectly golden and crunchy.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and allow the crisps to cool for a few minutes to firm up. Enjoy as a delicious, guilt-free keto snack!
Notes
- After baking, feel free to sprinkle your crisps with Italian seasoning, dried basil, oregano, red pepper flakes, or any other pizza-inspired herbs for extra flavor.
- Keep an eye on the crisps while baking since oven temperatures vary and parmesan can burn quickly.
- The pepperoni can be substituted with salami if preferred.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for crispiness or in the refrigerator for longer shelf life.
