Description

This Iced Golden Milk Latte is a refreshing and healthful beverage combining the anti-inflammatory power of turmeric with warming spices, sweetened naturally with maple syrup. Served cold over ice, it’s a perfect energizing drink to enjoy any time of day.

Ingredients

Liquid Base

  • 2-3 cups milk of choice (dairy or plant-based)

Sweetener

  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup

Spices & Flavorings

  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch ground cardamom
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

Other

  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add 2-3 cups of your preferred milk, 3 tablespoons of maple syrup, 1 ½ teaspoons of ground turmeric, ¼ teaspoon each of ground cinnamon and ground ginger, a pinch of ground black pepper, a pinch of ground cardamom, ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract, and ice cubes to a cocktail shaker.
  2. Shake Well: Secure the lid on the cocktail shaker tightly and shake vigorously for about 2 minutes until all ingredients are well combined and the mixture is frothy and chilled.
  3. Serve Over Ice: Fill serving glasses with fresh ice, then strain and pour the shaken golden milk latte into the glasses over the ice, leaving the ice used during shaking behind. Serve immediately for the best flavor and refreshment.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of maple syrup based on your preferred sweetness level.
  • For a creamier texture, use whole milk or a rich plant-based milk such as oat or coconut milk.
  • Make sure to use fresh ground spices for the best flavor.
  • The ground black pepper helps increase the bioavailability of curcumin in turmeric, enhancing its health benefits.
  • The latte is best enjoyed immediately but can be refrigerated for up to 1 day; shake again before serving if stored.
