Description

This vibrant and creamy Green Goddess Feta Dip combines the tangy flavor of feta cheese with fresh herbs and avocado for a rich, smooth texture. Perfect as a quick appetizer or snack, it pairs wonderfully with vegetables, crackers, or pita bread. The dip is easy to prepare in just 10 minutes using a food processor, making it a fresh and flavorful addition to any gathering or everyday meal.

Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 5 ounces feta cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 large avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1 lemon, juiced (about 2-3 tablespoons)
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh dill
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh mint
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh basil
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh chives (or green onions)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water (plus more if needed)
  • Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Blend. Combine the feta cheese, peeled garlic cloves, avocado, freshly squeezed lemon juice, fresh dill, mint, basil, chives, and Dijon mustard in a food processor. Pulse briefly to mix the ingredients together. With the motor running, slowly drizzle in 1/4 cup of olive oil until the mixture is fully combined and emulsified, resulting in a smooth and creamy dip. Add 1/4 cup of water (or more if needed) to achieve your desired consistency.
  2. Season. Taste the dip and season it with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper to your preference. Adjust seasoning gradually to balance the flavors perfectly.
  3. Serve. Serve the Green Goddess Feta Dip immediately with your favorite dippers such as fresh vegetables, crackers, or pita bread. Alternatively, transfer the dip to a sealed container and refrigerate it for up to 3 days, allowing flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For a thinner dip, add more water gradually until the preferred consistency is achieved.
  • Use fresh herbs for the best flavor and vibrant green color.
  • Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
  • This dip pairs well with raw veggies, pita chips, or toasted bread slices.
  • Adjust garlic quantity based on your preference for pungency.
