Description

This classic Graham Cracker Crust recipe is a simple, buttery base perfect for pies and cheesecakes. Made with crushed graham crackers, sugar, and melted butter, it bakes to a golden, crisp texture that holds fillings beautifully.

Ingredients

Crust Ingredients

  • 12 graham cracker sheets (about 6.4 oz.)
  • 2 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp. salted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F to get it ready for baking the crust.
  2. Make the Crumb Mixture: In a food processor, combine the graham cracker sheets and granulated sugar. Pulse until you get fine crumbs. Then, pour in the melted salted butter and pulse again until the crumbs are evenly coated and stick together when pinched.
  3. Form the Crust: Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Use the bottom of a measuring cup or a glass to press evenly and compact the crust.
  4. Bake the Crust: Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes until it is just set and slightly golden. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool completely before adding your desired filling.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free version, substitute graham crackers with gluten-free ones.
  • Be sure to let the crust cool fully before filling to prevent sogginess.
  • You can adjust sugar according to sweetness preference or if using sweetened crackers.
  • If you don’t have a food processor, place graham crackers in a sealed bag and crush with a rolling pin.
