Ingredients
Steak Marinade Ingredients
- ⅓ cup olive oil
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
Instructions
- Mix the Marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, dried rosemary, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and balsamic vinegar until all ingredients are well combined.
- Store or Use Immediately: You can use the marinade right away or pour it into an airtight jar and refrigerate for up to 3 days for later use.
- Rub the Marinade on the Steaks: Place your steaks into a large plastic storage bag. Pour the prepared marinade directly over the steaks, seal the bag tightly, and massage the marinade around the meat thoroughly to ensure even coating.
- Marinate: Place the sealed bag in the refrigerator and let the steaks marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes, although marinating up to 24 hours will deepen the flavor and tenderness.
- Discard Excess Marinade: Before cooking, remove the steaks from the bag and discard any leftover marinade to avoid contamination and ensure food safety.
Notes
- For best results, marinate the steaks for at least 2 hours or overnight when possible.
- Use fresh herbs as a substitute for dried to enhance flavor.
- Discard any marinade that has come in contact with raw meat; do not reuse.
- Can be used with various cuts of steak, including ribeye, sirloin, or flank steak.
- Bring steaks to room temperature before cooking for even doneness.
