Ingredients
Remoulade Sauce
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1¼ tablespoon minced shallots
- 1½ tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tablespoon Dijon mustard
- ½ tablespoon prepared horseradish
- 1½ teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 2 teaspoon lemon zest
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ⅕ teaspoon black pepper (optional)
Shrimp Sliders
- 24 ounces SeaPak Popcorn Shrimp
- 16 slider rolls
- 4 cups broccoli slaw (or coleslaw mix)
- Butter for toasting rolls
- 8 tomato slices (optional, based on instructions)
Instructions
- Make the Remoulade Sauce: In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced shallots, fresh lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, prepared horseradish, hot pepper sauce, lemon zest, minced garlic, and black pepper if using. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to use to let the flavors meld.
- Bake the Popcorn Shrimp: Following the package instructions on the SeaPak Popcorn Shrimp, bake until the shrimp are golden and crispy, usually about 10-12 minutes at 425°F. This ensures a crunchy texture perfect for sliders.
- Toast the Slider Rolls: Spread a thin layer of butter on the inside of each slider roll. Place them under the broiler for 1-2 minutes or until the inside is toasted and crisp. Keep a close eye to avoid burning.
- Assemble the Sliders: On the bottom half of each toasted roll, place a slice of tomato (optional), then add 1-2 tablespoons of broccoli slaw. Top the slaw with a portion of the baked popcorn shrimp.
- Add the Remoulade Sauce: Drizzle approximately ½ tablespoon of the chilled remoulade sauce over the shrimp for a creamy, tangy finish.
- Serve: Close the slider with the top half of the roll and serve immediately while warm and crispy.
Notes
- If desired, substitute broccoli slaw with traditional coleslaw for a sweeter crunch.
- Adjust hot pepper sauce quantity in remoulade to taste for milder or spicier flavors.
- Ensure shrimp are fully cooked through for safety and optimal texture.
- Slider rolls can be replaced with mini buns or Hawaiian rolls depending on preference.
- For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free rolls and verify shrimp coating ingredients accordingly.
