Description
This Easy Rose Latte recipe is a delightful and fragrant beverage combining the subtle floral notes of rose water with creamy milk and a touch of sweetness, perfect served hot or iced. Simple to prepare in just minutes, it can be customized with your choice of milk and optionally enhanced with a shot of espresso for a floral twist on a classic latte.
Ingredients
Base Ingredients
- 1½ cups milk of choice (oat, almond, or soy milk recommended)
- 2 tsp rose water
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 2-3 tsp maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- ¼ tsp beet powder (for natural pink colour)
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: Add the milk, rose water, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and beet powder into a blender. Blend on high power for 10-15 seconds until all ingredients are fully combined and the color is uniform. If a blender is not available, whisk the ingredients thoroughly in a medium bowl until well mixed.
- Warm the Latte: Pour the blended mixture into a small saucepan and gently warm it over low heat. Stir occasionally to heat evenly without boiling, ensuring the delicate flavors remain intact.
- Serve Hot: Pour the warmed latte into a mug. For a coffee variation, add a freshly made shot of espresso before pouring in the rose latte. Optionally, garnish with edible rose petals for an elegant touch.
- Prepare Iced Latte: To enjoy iced, blend all ingredients as in step 1. Immediately pour the chilled mixture over a glass filled with ice cubes. Optionally, decorate with rose petals for presentation.
Notes
- Use unsweetened plant-based milk for a dairy-free option.
- Adjust maple syrup quantity to control sweetness according to preference.
- Beet powder provides natural color but can be omitted if unavailable, though it will affect the pink hue.
- Rose petals for garnish should be edible and pesticide-free.
- Espresso shot is optional to keep the latte caffeine-free.
