Description

This creamy Spinach Artichoke Dip is a crowd-pleasing appetizer featuring tender artichoke hearts and nutrient-packed spinach blended with creamy cheeses and garlic. Baked until hot and bubbly, it’s perfect for serving warm with crackers or bread at parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 14 ounce can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese, loosely measured
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup frozen spinach, thawed and liquid squeezed out

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready when the dip is prepared.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, cream cheese, squeezed spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, minced garlic, and 3/4 cup of the parmesan cheese. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well incorporated.
  3. Prepare Baking Dish: Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish or a similarly sized glass pie dish to prevent sticking.
  4. Fill and Top: Spoon the dip mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the dip.
  5. Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
  6. Serve: Remove from oven and serve warm accompanied by crackers, sliced bread, or vegetable sticks for dipping.

Notes

  • Ensure to squeeze all excess moisture from the thawed spinach to prevent a watery dip.
  • Room temperature cream cheese blends easier for a smooth consistency.
  • Use freshly grated parmesan for best flavor and melting quality.
  • Serve immediately for optimal warmth and texture, or keep warm in the oven on low.
  • Can be prepared ahead and refrigerated; reheat before serving.
