Ingredients
Fresh Produce
- 4-5 ripe avocados
- 1 medium tomato (seeds removed)
- 1/2 small red onion
- 1 large jalapeno
- Juice from 1 lime
- 1 tablespoon fresh minced cilantro
Spices & Seasonings
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon chipotle chili powder (adjust for extra kick)
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Cut Avocados: Slice the avocados in half lengthwise and carefully remove the pits by striking them gently with a knife, twisting, and pulling the pit out.
- Scoop Avocado Flesh: Using a large spoon, separate the avocado pulp from the skin, scraping out the flesh into a bowl. Discard skins and pits.
- Mash Avocados: Mash the avocado pulp using a fork or potato masher until you reach your desired consistency. Make sure the avocados are ripe for smooth mashing.
- Prepare Vegetables: Seed and finely mince the jalapeno (optionally keep seeds if you prefer more heat). Mince the red onion and dice the tomato. Add all these vegetables to the mashed avocado.
- Season and Mix: Add lime juice, fresh cilantro, cumin, chipotle chili powder, and salt to taste. Mix all ingredients thoroughly to combine flavors.
- Serve: Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl and enjoy immediately with tortilla chips or your favorite fresh veggies.
