Description

This Cranberry Brie Biscuit Dip is a warm, melty appetizer perfect for holiday gatherings or cozy nights in. Featuring a ring of buttery biscuits surrounding creamy baked brie topped with tangy cranberry sauce, shredded cheddar, and fragrant rosemary, it’s finished with a drizzle of honey for a touch of sweetness. Easy to prepare in under 20 minutes, it’s an impressive yet simple dish to serve guests.

Ingredients

Cheese and Toppings

  • 1 (12.3-oz) round brie cheese, at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup shredded white cheddar
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • Drizzle of honey for garnish

Biscuits

  • 1 (16.3-oz) can refrigerated biscuits
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oven and Biscuits: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut each refrigerated biscuit in half and roll each piece into a ball. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and freshly chopped parsley. Arrange the biscuit balls in a ring around the edge of a medium oven-safe skillet. Brush the biscuits generously with the parsley butter and season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  2. Prepare the Brie Cheese: Place the brie cheese in the center of the biscuit ring. Using a paring knife, carefully remove the top rind of the brie to allow it to melt smoothly during baking. Place the skillet in the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the brie is soft and melty.
  3. Add Cranberry and Cheddar: Remove the skillet from the oven and spoon the cranberry sauce over the melted brie. Sprinkle the shredded white cheddar on top, then gently fold the cheese and cranberry mixture together for a cohesive blend. Smooth the mixture evenly and top with a sprig of rosemary for an aromatic touch. Return the skillet to the oven for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, allowing the cheddar to melt fully.
  4. Serve with a Honey Drizzle: Once the cheese is melted and bubbly, remove the skillet from the oven. Drizzle the melted cheese and biscuits with a bit of honey to add sweetness that complements the tart cranberry and savory cheese. Serve immediately while hot for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Room temperature brie melts more evenly and quickly, so plan ahead to take it out early.
  • Use a cast iron or oven-safe skillet to bake this dish safely in the oven.
  • For a festive touch, swap fresh rosemary with chopped thyme or sage if preferred.
  • Serve with extra cranberry sauce or honey on the side for dipping.
  • This dip is best enjoyed fresh out of the oven and is not ideal for reheating.
