Ingredients
Crust and Topping
- 13.8-ounce package refrigerated pizza crust (Pillsbury brand recommended)
- 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Streusel Topping
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Icing
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 Tablespoon heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly grease a pizza pan with non-stick cooking spray or oil to prevent sticking.
- Roll Out Dough: Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough onto the prepared pizza pan, shaping it into a round pizza base.
- Butter the Dough: Evenly spread the softened unsalted butter over the surface of the dough.
- Make Cinnamon Sugar: In a small mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until well mixed.
- Sprinkle Cinnamon Sugar: Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the buttered dough, leaving about a half-inch border around the edges for the crust.
- Prepare Streusel Topping: In a medium bowl, combine cubed cold butter, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt. Use a pastry cutter or fork to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until crumbly.
- Add Streusel to Pizza: Sprinkle the crumbly streusel topping evenly over the cinnamon sugar layer on the pizza dough.
- Bake the Pizza: Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 9-10 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Once baked, allow it to cool for about 10 minutes.
- Prepare the Icing: While the pizza cools, whisk together powdered sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth and pourable.
- Drizzle and Serve: Drizzle the prepared icing over the cooled pizza, then cut into slices and serve warm for best flavor.
Notes
- Make sure the butter for the streusel is cold and cubed for the best crumbly texture.
- Leave a small border on the crust to keep the cinnamon sugar topping from spilling over.
- The pizza is best served warm but can be reheated slightly before serving.
- You can adjust cinnamon and sugar amounts to taste if you prefer it less sweet or more spiced.
- Use fresh refrigerated pizza dough for optimal texture and convenience.
