Ingredients
Protein
- 1 12 oz package of Aidells Chicken Apple Sausage
Vegetables
- 1 zucchini, sliced into rounds
- 1 yellow squash, sliced into rounds
- 1 cup mini peppers
Other
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat to ensure even cooking and perfect grilling marks on your skewers.
- Prepare Vegetables: Place all sliced vegetables in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle salt and pepper. Use your hands to toss and coat all pieces evenly in the oil and seasoning.
- Assemble Skewers: Thread the chicken sausage slices and vegetables onto skewers, keeping pieces similar in size so they cook evenly and fit well on the grill.
- Grill Skewers: Optionally drizzle the assembled skewers with a bit more olive oil. Place them on the hot grill and cook for 5-8 minutes per side, turning frequently to avoid burning and to ensure all sides are nicely charred and cooked through.
- Serve: Remove skewers from the grill and serve immediately, pairing them with rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice and a fresh tossed salad for a balanced, delicious meal.
Notes
- Keep vegetable pieces uniform in size for even grilling.
- Turn skewers often to prevent burning and ensure even cooking.
- Use soaked wooden skewers or metal skewers to prevent burning on the grill.
- Serve with your choice of grain or salad to complete the meal.
- Make sure the grill is properly preheated for best results.
