Description

Enjoy all the iconic flavors of a Big Mac burger without the bun in these delicious Big Mac Wraps! This recipe features a homemade Big Mac sauce, seasoned ground beef, fresh vegetables, and cheddar cheese, all wrapped in soft tortillas for a flavorful and satisfying meal perfect for a quick lunch or casual dinner.

Ingredients

Big Mac Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup finely diced dill pickles
  • 1 Tablespoon mustard
  • 3 Tablespoons ketchup
  • ½ teaspoon paprika

Wraps:

  • 1 yellow onion, diced (divided use)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder (to taste, optional)
  • 4 soft taco size tortillas
  • Shredded lettuce (to taste)
  • Sliced dill pickles (to taste)
  • Shredded cheddar cheese (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Big Mac Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together ½ cup mayonnaise, ¼ cup finely diced dill pickles, 1 Tablespoon mustard, 3 Tablespoons ketchup, and ½ teaspoon paprika. Mix until smooth, then refrigerate the sauce until needed to allow flavors to meld.
  2. Cook Ground Beef and Onions: Heat a medium skillet over medium heat. Add 1 pound ground beef and half of the diced yellow onion. Cook while crumbling the beef and stirring until the meat is fully cooked and the onions have softened, about 7-8 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to your taste.
  3. Drain Excess Grease: If necessary, carefully drain any grease from the skillet to prevent the wraps from becoming too greasy. Then transfer the cooked beef and onions to a bowl.
  4. Assemble Wraps: Lay 4 soft taco-size tortillas flat on a clean surface. On each tortilla, layer shredded lettuce, sliced dill pickles, the cooked beef mixture, the remaining diced onions, shredded cheddar cheese, and a generous spoonful of the prepared Big Mac sauce. Arrange the layers in any order you prefer for optimal flavor distribution.
  5. Wrap and Serve: Fold each tortilla tightly into a wrap to enclose the filling. Serve immediately to enjoy the fresh, savory flavors of these Big Mac Wraps.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning of beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to your preference.
  • For a spicier twist, add a dash of hot sauce to the Big Mac sauce.
  • Use fresh, crisp lettuce for the best texture.
  • These wraps can be warmed slightly in a skillet or microwave before serving if preferred warm.
  • Substitute cheddar cheese with your favorite cheese or omit for a lighter option.
