Description

This easy and flavorful Balsamic Vinaigrette is a perfect homemade salad dressing combining the sweetness of honey, tanginess of balsamic vinegar, and a hint of garlic. Ready in just 5 minutes, it’s an excellent way to elevate any salad or dish with simple pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

For the Vinaigrette:

  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly crushed black pepper (finely ground)
  • 1 large garlic clove (minced)
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, sea salt, black pepper, and minced garlic until the mixture is smooth and uniform.
  2. Add Olive Oil: Gradually add the extra virgin olive oil into the bowl while continuously whisking to ensure the dressing emulsifies properly and achieves a creamy consistency.
  3. Store and Serve: Transfer the vinaigrette to a jar with a tight-fitting lid and refrigerate. Before serving, shake well to recombine the ingredients. Use to dress salads or as a marinade. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure to whisk continuously while adding the olive oil to ensure a well-emulsified dressing.
  • Store the vinaigrette in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Shake or stir the vinaigrette well before each use, as separation may occur naturally.
  • Feel free to adjust sweetness or acidity by adding more honey or balsamic vinegar to taste.
